Americana Gravestone Rubbing, Early Old New England Tombstone Unframed I made this rubbing in early 70s mainly in MA & NH. Now it is banned or special permission is required. Quite nice. I use proper rubbing chalk, and various papers, usually fine art rice paper. You can see small lines in the rice paper. Very nice affect. Charles Whitney 1844, 12x19. Photos don't do rubbing justice.
