Americana Gravestone Rubbing, Early Old New England Tombstone Unframed I made this rubbing in early 70s mainly in MA & NH. Now it is banned or special permission is required. Quite nice. I use proper rubbing chalk, and various papers, usually fine art rice paper. You can see small lines in the rice paper. Very nice affect. Charles Whitney 1844, 12×19. Photos don’t do rubbing justice.
